Mr. Siva Makutam is a seasoned semiconductor and electronics professional with over 20 years of global experience in the design and development of complex VLSI chips and electronic systems. A graduate of BITS Pilani, Siva is known for his deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and visionary approach toward building innovation-driven semiconductor ecosystems in India.

He is the driving force behind initiatives aimed at establishing semiconductor design hubs in Tier-2 cities, leveraging the rich experience of professionals from Tier-1 cities and global networks. His mission is to democratize access to cutting-edge chip design, promote talent from underrepresented regions, and contribute meaningfully to India’s semiconductor self-reliance.

Siva has held senior leadership roles in multinational semiconductor companies and currently serves as Senior Director in a leading global chip design firm. He has also been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of BEML Limited, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence.

He served as Principal Consultant to the Department of IT, Electronics & Communications, Government of Andhra Pradesh, during which he contributed to key policy and ecosystem development initiatives.

Under his leadership, the companies have actively collaborated with academia, industry, and government to create employment, foster innovation, and accelerate India’s role in the global semiconductor landscape.
